DWELL FAQ

What is DWELL? A Solana launchpad where part of each token's trading fee is shared, as SOL, among the holders of that token, weighted by how long they have held without selling.

Is this an investment or a yield product? No. It is a fee sharing mechanic. Payouts depend on trading activity, can be tiny, and can be zero. We do not promise returns of any kind. Tokens can lose all their value.

How is my share worked out? Your Dwell Score is your time-weighted token balance multiplied by a tenure multiplier from 1.0x to 3.0x. Your payout is your score divided by the total score, times the pool. See HOW-IT-WORKS.md for worked numbers.

How long until I reach the full multiplier? 14 continuous days. The multiplier rises in a straight line from 1.0x on day 0 to 3.0x at day 14.

What happens if I sell? Your tenure shrinks by the fraction you sell. Selling half halves your days held. Selling all sets it to zero. Buying does not reset it.

Can I split my tokens across wallets to get more? No. Score is per wallet and linear in balance, so splitting gains nothing. Tokens received by transfer are not scored in that epoch.

How big is the pool? 40% of the 1.0% trade fee. For example, 1,000 SOL of daily volume gives 10 SOL of fees and a 4 SOL pool. This is arithmetic, not a forecast.

How do I claim? On the portfolio page, connect your wallet and claim. You pay the network fee. Unclaimed amounts expire after 30 days and roll into later pools.

Who holds the money? A 2-of-3 Squads multisig funds an open source Merkle distributor program each epoch. DWELL has no custom on-chain program in v1.

How do I know the numbers are right? Each epoch publishes a root and a snapshot. Anyone can recompute it with the verifier CLI. If it does not match, file a dispute (see SECURITY.md).

Has it been audited? The distributor is a third party program. The DWELL indexer, scorer and publisher have not had an independent audit. See MAINNET-READINESS.md for the current state.

Why are creators and the platform paid? Creators receive 30% of fees and the platform 25%. 5% goes to a reserve for failed claims and operations.

Which tokens are in the pool? Each token has its own pool, funded only by that token's fees.

Can the rules change? The fee config is shared and fixed for tokens already launched. Documented rule changes would apply to new tokens and be announced in advance. Scoring fixes for bugs are possible and are handled through published restatements.

Is it available in my country? We have not completed legal review. Availability may be restricted. See LEGAL-NOTES.md for the internal flags.

Are the market figures in your docs reliable? Any market figure in the docs is marked unverified unless stated. Please check live sources yourself.

Where do I report a bug or a security issue? Use the dispute channel for scoring questions and the security contact for vulnerabilities. Both must be live before public launch.
