This is not a yield promise. Holder payouts come only from actual trading fees. They can be small, uneven or zero. The tables below are arithmetic illustrations of a split, not forecasts, and the volume levels are assumptions, not observed data.
DWELL has no governance token and no emissions in v1. There is no token supply schedule to describe; every launched token is created by its own creator.
Fee parameters (v1 proposal, founder can tune)
- Trade fee: 1.0% flat, on the bonding curve and after graduation.
- Graduation threshold: 85 SOL.
- Epoch: 24 hours (UTC).
Split
| Recipient | Share of fee | Per 1.0 SOL of fees |
|---|---|---|
| Dwell Pool (holders) | 40% | 0.40 SOL |
| Creator | 30% | 0.30 SOL |
| Platform | 25% | 0.25 SOL |
| Reserve | 5% | 0.05 SOL |
| Total | 100% | 1.00 SOL |
Check: 40 + 30 + 25 + 5 = 100.
Formulas
fees = volume x 0.01
pool = fees x 0.40
creator = fees x 0.30
platform = fees x 0.25
reserve = fees x 0.05
The holder pool is divided by Dwell Score (see HOW-IT-WORKS.md). Each payout is rounded down to a lamport; the rounding remainder goes to the reserve.
Sensitivity table: one token, three daily volume levels
| Daily volume | Fees (1.0%) | Pool (40%) | Creator (30%) | Platform (25%) | Reserve (5%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 SOL | 1 SOL | 0.4 SOL | 0.3 SOL | 0.25 SOL | 0.05 SOL |
| 1,000 SOL | 10 SOL | 4 SOL | 3 SOL | 2.5 SOL | 0.5 SOL |
| 10,000 SOL | 100 SOL | 40 SOL | 30 SOL | 25 SOL | 5 SOL |
Row check: 0.4 + 0.3 + 0.25 + 0.05 = 1; 4 + 3 + 2.5 + 0.5 = 10; 40 + 30 + 25 + 5 = 100.
Pool per holder (illustration)
If the pool is shared equally by 200 scored wallets with identical scores:
| Daily volume | Pool | Per wallet per day |
|---|---|---|
| 100 SOL | 0.4 SOL | 0.002 SOL |
| 1,000 SOL | 4 SOL | 0.02 SOL |
| 10,000 SOL | 40 SOL | 0.2 SOL |
Equal scores are unrealistic; real splits follow tenure and balance. Tokens with no trading pay nothing.
Thirty day view of the pool (if volume were constant)
| Daily volume | Pool per day | Pool over 30 days |
|---|---|---|
| 100 SOL | 0.4 SOL | 12 SOL |
| 1,000 SOL | 4 SOL | 120 SOL |
| 10,000 SOL | 40 SOL | 1,200 SOL |
Constant volume almost never happens. Use this only to see how linear the math is.
Reading the table honestly
- Everything scales linearly with volume. Volume is the only driver and nobody controls it.
- The pool is not a return on the price paid for the token. A holder can receive payouts and still lose money if the token price falls.
- Network fees reduce small claims. Very small payouts may cost more to claim than they are worth, so the claim UI shows the net amount.
- Fees on volume that is wash traded are paid by the trader and are not free money for anyone.
Unclaimed funds and rollover
Amounts not claimed within 30 days of publication are swept and added to the next epoch's pool of the same token.
Dust floor and carry (recommendation, founder can change)
A wallet's epoch share below MIN_CLAIM_LAMPORTS (default 0.01 SOL) is not paid out that epoch. It rolls into a per wallet, per token carry balance and is added to the next epoch until the total clears the floor. Carry unclaimable for 90 days returns to that token's Dwell Pool. Effect on the pool: nothing is created or destroyed. Each epoch, pool plus incoming carry equals paid plus outgoing carry, exactly. Cost of the policy: small holders wait for payment, and in a low volume token many holders may sit in carry for weeks. Consequence for sizing: with a pool of P lamports and N equal holders, each share is P/N, so holders are paid per epoch only if P/N >= 0.01 SOL. The floor is a tuning knob alongside the fee parameters above.
Market context (UNVERIFIED)
Research gathered on 2026-10-13 reported that large launchpads direct a share of fees to buyback and burn, with figures such as 50%, 60% and 80% quoted for different platforms, and a report of one platform's daily revenue being down 88% from its peak. All of these figures are unverified. Live data sources could not be reached when the research was done. Do not repeat them publicly until re-checked.
Tuning notes
The 40/30/25/5 split is a proposal. A larger holder share increases the incentive to hold but lowers creator and platform revenue. Any change should be made for the whole shared config and only with a founder decision, and existing tokens keep the config they launched with.
